Question:

Are egg yolks OK for dogs?

Answer:

Eggs are frequently found in commercial dogs foods or as part of a balanced homemade diet. They're as good for dogs as they are for humans - which is to say, in moderation and as part of a healthy diet.

There has been some concern in the past about the fact that a substance in raw egg whites, known as avidin, "binds" the biotin (a necessary nutrient) that is found in the egg yolk (this process is inactivated by cooking). However, unless the dog is eating huge amounts of raw egg white and not getting plenty of biotin, it's probably not significant.
